Charity Spinning Marathon
An intense cardio (aerobic) workout set to pumping music and led by a qualified instructor who guides participants through different workout phases. Warm-up, steady up tempo cadences, sprints, climbs & cool-downs - You control resistance on your bike to make the pedaling as easy or difficult as you choose. The bikes track your progress motivating you to push on and accomplish your goal. An excellent way to burn some calories and relieve stress. Workout shorts, a towel and flat-soled workout shoes are a must! (Long or baggy pants are not recommended because these can get caught in the pedals & wheels.)Individual or group competitions can be organized at any venue including hotels, outdoors or even in a bullring or on the beach. Example of a charitable purpose, the group must make and add km on the bike to the end of the event would be exchanged per kg of rice to donate to the association chosen by the customer or by the organization of the event.
Corporate Reforestation Project
A team based activity project where participants can play an active role in restoring acres of hillsides affected by the 2011 forest fire surrounding the whitewashed mountain town of Ojén. Teams receive basic tools & supplies along with seedlings to be planted in designated areas once the ground is properly prepared and irrigated, making sure trees are firmly anchored and able to grow properly. Native plant species include oak & arbutus among others. This is a valuable group initiative that not only fosters teamwork and unity but increases social awareness and promotes conservation for the future of the environment. Reforestation projects also provide a habitat for wildlife, prevent soil erosion &flooding and most importantly, absorb carbon dioxide, which helps reduce global warming. Duration: 2.3hs.
Charity Bike Build
Each team is armed with wrenches and lots of enthusiasm in a race to construct the ultimate human-powered child’s bike. Groups must compete amongst each other to earn bicycle components, negotiate for missing parts, and present marketing campaigns to promote their final product. Each team must come up with their own team names. Your team’s tools include collaboration, communication, planning, resource allocation, creativity, a wrench, a screwdriver… and lots of heart.
At the end of the event all bicycles will be donated to needy children within your community – or a local charity of your choice. Whenever possible, the children will be invited to the activity, making the donation all the more personal. This is truly a moment they’ll never forget.
